About this itinerary
The first three days explore Istanbul’s historic peninsula. Day four is for travel to Cappadocia, followed by two days of outdoor sightseeing. Day seven is the road journey to Antalya, day eight explores Kaleiçi, day nine covers Perge and Aspendos, and the final day is free.
The nine nights are divided into three in Istanbul, three around Göreme and three in Antalya. The route assumes you are already in Istanbul on the first sightseeing morning; accommodation the previous night is not counted. Day 5 · Sightseeing day
Discover Göreme and Uçhisar
6–8 hours · By car
Start at Göreme Open-Air Museum and explore the open visitor route at your own pace. After a lunch break, continue to Uçhisar by car. Assess access to the castle on arrival; if you prefer to avoid the steps, keep your visit to a short walk in the surrounding area. Leave time to rest at the end of the day.
