Topkapı Palace

Courtyards, pavilions and collections introduce the world of the Ottoman court.

A closer look

Topkapı Palace was a major centre of Ottoman government and court life. Today its museum brings together courtyards, pavilions and several collections. The Harem may have separate admission conditions.

Prioritise the sections that interest you rather than trying to see everything in one morning. Leave time to walk between courtyards and pause. Adding the Archaeology Museums on the same day makes for an intensive programme.
