Pamukkale Travertines

A managed walk among white calcium terraces.

A closer look

Light gives Pamukkale’s terraces changing shades of white, cream and pink. Water is directed for conservation, so not every pool will be full. Walk only on the terrace strip opened to visitors, where shoes must be removed. Wet surfaces can be slippery and reflected sunlight intense. Bring a bag for your footwear if you are combining the terraces with Hierapolis above.
