About this itinerary

Start at Göreme Open Air Museum with its rock-cut spaces and wall paintings. Continue to Zelve to explore how the settlement is arranged within the valleys.

Make Paşabağları the final stop and take time to view the rock formations from different angles. Walking around all three sites can make a demanding day; leave a stop for another day if fatigue or the weather requires it. Adjust the suggested sequence to your own pace.

Transport plan

A car or pre-arranged transfer is suggested between stops, with walking inside each site. This plan does not recommend a continuous hiking trail linking all three. Check the separate entrance locations for Zelve and Paşabağları, parking and your return arrangements.

Visiting tips

The 7–9 hour range is an editorial estimate for three visits, travel and breaks. Heat, surfaces and steps can affect your pace. Stay on open marked paths and do not climb the rocks. Check photography rules and Dark Church ticket coverage at Göreme separately. Last admission may be earlier than closing time.
