Side Ancient City

Ancient remains and a living coastal settlement meet on a peninsula.

A closer look

Side is a historic port city projecting into the sea in Manavgat district. The ancient theatre and coastal temple remains form focal points for a walk between different parts of the settlement.

Do not treat the archaeological site, museum and present-day streets as one ticketed area. Choose your monuments and plan the walks between them. Time for sunset photography can be separate from time for archaeology.

DOSİM marks Side Theatre closed in the source check of 29 September 2026; do not plan to enter the theatre.
